Both Interactions text paths drop the mapped output_schema. map_kaapi_to_google_params still emits output_schema. Neither provider forwards it. Structured-output configs get free-form text, and no warning is returned.
backend/app/services/llm/providers/google_aistudio.py#L442-L468: readparams["output_schema"]and set the Interactions structured-output field. Or return a warning or error when the field is present.backend/app/services/llm/providers/google_gcp.py#L503-L520: apply the same forwarding in the GCP request builder. Share one helper with AI Studio.

🔒 Security & Privacy | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Per-field fallback can mix BYOK and platform credentials.
Each field falls back to platform settings independently, and the service-account path wins. Two realistic states give wrong results:
- A project stores only
api_key, and the platform setsGCP_SA_KEYandGCP_PROJECT_ID. Thensa_credentials and project_idis true, and the client authenticates with the platform service account. The customer'sapi_keyis ignored, so usage goes to the platform project. - A project stores only
sa_key, and the platform setsGCP_PROJECT_ID. Thenproject_idresolves to the platform project, not the key's ownproject_id. Requests run against the wrong project and usually fail with 403. The documentation says the project defaults to the key's ownproject_id.
Resolve the auth method from one source. If the stored row supplies any auth field, use only BYOK auth fields. For an SA key, prefer the key's project_id over the platform GCP_PROJECT_ID. The existing tests do not cover these combinations. Add tests for them.

We can directly annotate the variable as interaction: Interaction = self.client.interactions.create(...) instead of using cast(). This keeps the type annotation simple and avoids an unnecessary cast().

Since this interaction creation logic is duplicated throughout the file, can we create a single reusable function that accepts parameters like type, adjusts the input structure accordingly, and returns the Interaction object? What do you think?

yes I was of the same opinion. Not sure why Claude prefers cast. Will update that. Thakns for flagging it

we can have this mapped dict at the top level, where key would status code and the value would be the message, this way it would look clean and easily manageable. just a suggestion
